We started our business in the spring of 1998 with the purchase of two suri alpacas.  We purchased two huacaya alpacas the fall of that same year and our herd has been growing ever since.  

In 2003, after over 5 years of boarding our alpacas with others, we purchased our own ranch near Navasota, Texas, where we are now living our dream!  As previous boarders and now active ranchers, we have seen the business from both sides.  

Today, Mountain Dream Alpacas is home to a variety of suri and huacaya alpacas.  Depending upon the time of year, we may be performing outside breedings, birthing other ranch's alpacas or boarding short term during vacations.  The number of alpacas at our ranch varies from around 60 to near 100 alpacas.
